At the beginning of 2021, Willmott Park Primary began the Willmott Wonders program. This electives program, which is run by the Year Five and Six teams, has been an enjoyable and enriching experience for all involved. Once a week, students attend an elective for two incredible sessions of amazing passion-based learning. The program allows for students the opportunity to try new things that they might not have had the chance to experience before.

Over the course of 2021, students participated in a variety of electives including Exntension Art, Video Game Design and Textiles. As the program has evolved, we have been able to include various teachers from specialist areas to lend their expertise in other areas. 2022 has seen many more new electives being offered to our senior year cohorts.

Flag Football
Manga Creation
Photography
Cooking
Drama
Outdoor Education (overnight stay at school)

The premise of this program is to engage, student choice and provide the experience of electives. This in turn, will lead to their secondary school years and assist with their transition. At Willmott we are all about creating a range of experiences that cater for the whole child, whilst building their skill set for future learning.
