Learning Specialist (ENGLISH)
My name is Tom, and I am proud to be a Learning Specialist at Willmott Park Primary School, a place where student wellbeing, inclusion and diversity is at the core of everything we do. Our approach emerges from the innate curiosity and creativity of our students to meet the best practice of contemporary educational research and pedagogy. I have been in education for well over a decade and have had the pleasure of teaching in a diverse array of settings, year levels and subject areas.
As a Learning Specialist I help lead our dedicated community of teachers through professional learning that supports our students as learners. My particular areas of focus are the Reading Curriculum, various assessment and data practices, among others. I am passionate and invested in leading our school in the teaching and learning of the core skill of reading, and ensuring that we teach the Reading Curriculum through the lens of the best possible methodologies.
