Canteen

Willmott Park Primary School offers an onsite Canteen lunch program. Through the canteen, students have access to hot lunches 5 days a week!

At Willmott Park we believe that it is important that parents, teachers and students work together to support a whole-school-approach to healthy eating and build a school culture which supports students to choose nutritious foods and drinks, and a healthy lifestyle.

A healthy school food service:

makes it easy for students to choose healthy snacks and meals
offers a variety of nutritious foods
promotes foods that are consistent with Australian Dietary Guidelines
can be an avenue for consistent and continual health education
complements the diverse elements of the school curriculum
involves students, parents and the wider school community
is an integral part of the entire healthy school environment

At Willmott Park we follow the School Canteens and Other School Food Services Policy. We ensure EVERYDAY food and drinks are always available as the main choices. Our food and drinks are selected carefully, and we limit the availability of ‘occasional’ food and drink choices for our students.

Our menu is continuing to evolve in order to support varying dietary requirements. We provide hot food, cold drinks, and a wide range of snacks.

Orders can be made through the QKR app and food is delivered directly to your child’s classroom.

Lunch orders need to be in by 8am so our Canteen Manager has time to prepare food for the day.

Francie Maxfield is our Canteen Manager, and she is always looking for volunteers to assist in our canteen.
